There are many competent experts in the area of regional development in Croatia. However, there were difficulities in finding and involving experts for practial issues. With establishment of the Network of the experts for the regional development it is possible to surpass those obstacles and to create the maket of consulting services.

Therefore there was a round table held in Zagreb at the end of 2003. where proposal for the Network of the regional development experts was diuscussed and accpeted. Network is a collective of communication flows that are commenced, maintained and used by scientists and/or experts on the regional development. Members of the Network are physical persons that use the Network to give and receive informations of interest for regional development and their activities in it.
